In with all the BEST elements in this film, sources say that this film will be entirely a different Vijay fare of all times, as we know that K.K (Kaaval Kaadhal) is a remake of yesteryears film Bodyguard with the same director in it. Even though, Dileep's character Jayakrishnan was very stern and non-romantic, but in Tamil , Vijay has a very humorous and romantic role to be played.
We have seen our ILLAIYA THALAPATHY in the sets of Kaaval Kaadhal in Kuala Lumpur near Times Square Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur with his smart blue/white shirt, black blazer & his medium long hair which he had in Chinna Thamarai song in Vettaikaaran.
Not only the outfit but his character towards the public has been also changed alot, the entire Kaaval Kaadhal team says that Vijay is the first one to be in the sets and the last one to leave, he never complaints about his shots which have retake a several times, he just ensure that the quality of the film is good. He has a very friendly character once you get to know him, thats why people who know Vijay by heart will never accept the fact he is silent and reserve.
We wish the Kaaval Kaadhal team all the best at the Diwali Box Office 2010.
Velayutham - A rebirth of Vijay
This is our Illaiya Thalapathy VIJAY's 52nd film "Velayutham" which is directed by M.Rajaa who has directed several success films like M.Kumaran, Something Something, Santhosh Subramaniam & currently has finished with his comedy masterpiece which called Thillalangadi.
Velayutham's shooting is starting on the 17th of July in Chennai AVM Studios itself, the film's cameras will be handled by Priyan (Vallavan, Kovil, Aaru, Singam fame) and the music of the film was suppose to be Harrish Jeyaraj but due to the hard work with 7-Lam Arivu ( Surya's film ) he dropped the Vijay's offer, now the music of the film is scored by Vijay Anthony (Ninaithale Innikum, Dishyum, Vettaikaaran, Kadhalil Vizhunthen, TN 07 AL 4777). The film has been said that its Vijay's 2nd changing image film which will not include punch dialogues, flying scenes, unwanted mass scenes & etc. It will be more of a classy acting.
"I made the changes in Vijay's career with Kadhalluke Mariyathai back in 1997, and i will make sure that he make changes too in his career after Kaaval Kadhal to Velayutham " - producer Aasar Venu Ravichandran ( Dasavartharam, Anniyan, Vaaranam Ayiram, Unnale Unnale) . V.Ravichandran is the man who is producing and holding the distribution rights for Velayutham.
Sources say that this film is a remake of triple language which is Azad (Year 2000 - Telugu) , Mera Naam Azad (Year 1984 - Hindi), & Meet John Doe (1940 - Hollywood film). In all 3 languages the film has been rated as THE STALLION OF THE BOX OFFICE of that particular year.
" It is a very challenging script for me, because this is my first film with Vijay sir, and this film is not going to be a usual Vijay film that has released earlier, each and every step of the screenplay is being change to suite the best of overall world audience, and furthermore it is the most expensive film that I've ever handled in my life, i hope this will be another "Jeyam" in my life " - M.Rajaa on Hindu Times.
" Ravichandran sir made me a star who can notified by alot of directors and producers, because of him im somebody today, in the recent time my films were rated as below averages and flops, i do agree because I didn't had the chance to change the characters which I was playing and it is soulfully my mistake, but after the flop of Suraa, V.Ravichandran sir called me and said that M.Rajaa has a script for you, wake up from your commercial sleep and start rising up the success ladder which you was doing in the past years. M.Rajaa told me the story, it was a totally a different script and i immediately agreed for the role. I hope my changes in my future film will have my fans and tamil movie audience appreciated " - Vijay on Jaya Kerelam (Malayalam Magazine)
